So that did something... I've power cycled the phone twice now, and it doesn't connect at all now, not even for emergency calls. I just have a little circle with a cross through it and 'no connection' displayed on the screen. I'm not sure its a step in the direction I'd like, but it's something I suppose. What else is there to try? As far as I know, the card was working fine yesterday morning when we left Berlin and wouldn't connect when we got to Gran Canaria. I have recently moved the service from prepaid to account, not sure if that might have anything to do with the connection issues in the EU. My friends here are also with Congstar and their services are working fine. So, I guess that means there's a problem with the SIM card itself?- edit It's just come back to emergency only again. I'm going to try the manual selection of a carrier and see if I can find one and connect to it that way... I got it to connect to the Movistar network here and it sent me a welcome text. So it looks like things worked. Thanks to you all for your help!

this has nothing to do with your tariff change. So you have now changed the local provider in the manual network selection and it works? Would be nice if the problem is solved

Facing the same issue as I travel with this sim first time outside Germany - probably roaming is blocked, can someone please resolve this asap!

Cannot connect while roaming. Why is this service blocked?! It is falsely advertised as free roaming in EU and this is a huge inconvenience. Please unblock both of my SIMs immediately.

i have unblocked roaming connections for the phonenumber you choose in your details. The other number has no restrictions. Therefore you maybe have to activate roaming in the smartphone and check the API.

ja, es war eine Roamingsperre hinterlegt. Die habe ich jetzt rausgenommen, starte mal in ca. 30 Minuten dein Handy neu

es liegt keine Sperre vor, die Möglichkeit für Roaming ist in deinem Tarif freigegeben.
Dein Tarif wurde erst gestern Abend freigeschalten, evtl. liefen noch einige Prozesse im Hintergrund und es hat deswegen noch nicht funktioniert.
Hattest du das Handy mal neu gestartet und hast du mittlerweile überhaupt Empfang? Falls du Empfang bekommst, musst du eine Surf Option zubuchen, um die mobilen Daten nutzen zu können.

Das stimmt - vermutlich war die Karte noch nicht vollkommen freigeschaltet - heute funktioniert es. Als Tip für andere, die das gleiche Problem haben: Ich musste die automatische Netzauswahl deaktivieren und das Netz manuell wählen, um Empfang zu bekommen.

Roaming ist in deinem Tarif freigeschalten und eingerichtet, es liegt keine Sperre vor.
Hast du Roaming im Handy selbst aktiviert? Bekommst du gar keinen Empfang bzw. hast du es mit der manuellen Netzwahl probiert?

Ich habe das Handy neu gestartet und habe dann die manuelle Netzsuche und eingewählt. Es klappt nun.
