  • Hello,

I apologize as my German at the moment is not so great so i will write in English.

in January this year a Telekom shop informed me that the new address where i purchased my house is not having the option that i had with them of 250 MB DSL and i have an offer from Congstar of 100MB DSL which i took.

I was randomly checking the app to see if is any news on my address related with 1GB Fiber and i discovered that is still not available but the option of 250MB /s DSL is now available for me.

On the bill i can see my start date is 20.01.2026 for 35 Euro 100MB and the cancelation date is earliest 19.12.2027.

Can a Congstar employee confirm that if i want to change to 250MB /s DSL for the current offer 42Euro /month will not give me any penalization for changing contract ?

Also i can see in the app an AKTION for this 42Euro, but i cannot really find out if this is some promo of 3 months and then will be 45 or is something permanent ?

    Thanks a lot !

  • Hi!

Just because VDSL 250 is showing up now doesn't necessarily mean you will actually get VDSL 250. It could end up being VDSL 175.

A contractual penalty isn't to be expected. After all, it's in Telekom's best interest for customers to book the highest package possible—a penalty would run completely counter to that. So don't worry about it.

One more thing: If your landline/home internet is with congstar, you're in the right place. But if you're a Telekom customer (which your post suggests), please reach out directly to Telekom with your questions. We can't address Telekom-specific inquiries here, nor can we help if issues arise.

    Best regards!

  • Actually my ethernet was Forcely moved by Telekom to Congstar under the response that they don't have ethernet here .. but congstar have. So i am on the right place .

So , if my adress is showing as compatible with 250 means i might not get 250 ? how does that work ? how can i check this ?

currently on 100 i get 100 when i test it . Might not be during peak hours. but is mostly there on downloads.
